CLPP, a unique movement-building organization, is preparing young people for the front lines of today’s struggle for reproductive justice. We train, educate, connect, and inspire thousands of emerging leaders who are fiercely working toward a vision of reproductive freedom. Through our annual activist conference, leadership development programming, and capacity building work we have trained and inspired more than 20,000 people in our 40-year history. In addition to catalyzing new leaders in our core programs, CLPP uses a strategic, multi-pronged approach to: Support more than 300 campus groups and grassroots organizations engaged in reproductive justice Educate people who are new to the framework of reproductive justice Generate and hold space for cutting-edge political conversations that advance our movements As the COVID pandemic disproportionately impacts our nation’s most vulnerable populations, the multi-layered systemic inequities that have long limited their reproductive freedom is glaring. The same systemic oppression continues to destroy countless black lives. CLPP’s work has long been grounded in fighting intersectional oppression, aiming to transform systems that are riddled with transphobia, misogyny, and racism. We are redoubling our efforts to support activists and leaders with virtual programs and a commitment to building an even stronger pipeline of reproductive justice leaders. Many young people are coming to activism in this moment, and want to be engaged and to learn. We are ready to meet their need for education, training, and guidance. As we head into the next fiscal year, we are excited to explore new and creative ways to deepen and strengthen our national work, with a continued focus on emerging issues and organizations doing critical, urgent work, and launching activists who will help our beloved communities survive and thrive, who will fight oppression and injustice every step of the way.
