CLPP Finance and Operations Intern

The CLPP Finance and Operations Intern will aid in the overall finance processing in the CLPP Office.

This is a spring semester position with possibility of renewal for the full 2019-2020 academic year.

The position requires 8-10 hrs/week, with some variation depending on program workload.

  • Enrolled at Hampshire College through May 2019
  • Work-study eligibility
  • Div I and Div II students are encouraged to apply.

Job Summary

Subject to some variation, but in general, the Finance and Operations Intern will:

  • Create and process purchasing orders and payments
  • Organize past and current financial records
  • Set up payments through The Hub (Hampshire's online payment portal)
  • Assist with CLPP Conference finance processes, including as speaker stipends, creating invoices, and organizaing and processing travel reimbursements
  • Track and code office PCard statements
  • Assist with creating and maintaining spreadsheets

and support CLPP staff in other ways, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Comfort with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Detail oriented
  • Organized with high volume of paperwork
  • Reliable, consistent with follow up
  • Knowledge of Hampshire offices and systems- preferred not required
  • Excellent communication skills, comfort asking for more instruction and/or support from supervisor, other student workers, and other CLPP staff
  • Ability to work across difference 
  • Interest/knowledge in reproductive rights and social justice issues
