CLPP Development Remote Intern Position: Fall 2020

The Development Intern will support CLPP's administrative and development work. The Development Intern provides support that is critical to the success of CLPP’s development initiatives by researching potential funders, recording key activities with current funders, and developing statistics and stories that communicate the impact of our work.

This is a remote position of 4-5 hours per week during fall semester - ending Mid- December 2020-with possibility of renewal for the following academic semester. This position is paid at hourly rate of $12.75 and the intern will be hired through CLPP directly.

Job Summary

  • Data Management: Support staff by tracking activities, creating new records and updating current records in CLPP's database, Civi.
  • Stewardship: Enter gifts in database, produce thank you letters and track stewardship activities in CLPP's database.
  • Communications: Support staff around sending hard copy and online communications to donors.  Potential for phone calls with donors.
  • Events:  Provide logistical support around CLPP's fundraising events- currently on remote platforms such as Zoom
  • Video Editing: Edit our recorded online fundraising events for other uses
  • General Development Support: Work with staff on other relevant tasks related individual fundraising.


  • Work collaboratively as well as independently and holds the bigger picture goals of the programs while executing smaller tasks
  • Incorporates direction and feedback into work plans
  • Excellent communication skills, comfort asking for more instruction and/or support from supervisor, other student workers, and other CLPP staff
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel, word processing, mail merges, e-surveys, email communication, and Zoom video conferencing
  • Video editing experience
  • Self-initiative in learning new skills applicable to tasks at hand
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Easily juggles multiple projects, can shift tasks and directions
  • Interest and knowledge in reproductive rights and social justice issues
  • Growing understanding on systems and intersections of oppression
