When:

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

On August 3rd the Preserving our Civil Rights (PCR) campaign based in Northampton, MA will be hosting a “Know Your Rights” and Bill of Rights trivia night at the Yellow Sofa in downtown Northampton. This event is sure to be fun, cozy, and in an air conditioned environment and all are welcome to come with their partners, friends, and family. The PCR campaign is sponsored by the
American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), the Bill of Rights Defense Committee (BORDC), and the ACLU of Massachusetts. This campaign is working on presenting legislation to all city council members on August 18th to combat federal institutions that effect community members at the local level. This piece of legislation will focus on gaining transparency in local law enforcement in relation to Fusion Centers, opting out of Secure Communities, and combating racial profiling. Come out and support your community, learn about your rights, and make your voice heard all while playing trivia!
