Ready to resist.

Ready to resist! January 21, 2017 building the movement for reproductive justice

Just in time for the anniversary of Roe v. Wade…

This Saturday, hundreds of thousands of people will gather—in DC and in parallel protests across the country and the world—to send a clear message: we will resist.

CLPP students and staff are joining thousands of our alums, friends, family, and loved ones to fight together against injustice. This is exactly what we need now: to lift up new voices and grassroots activism.

We know that the dangers we are facing today are not new. And with you, we will continue to fight for safety, for survival—so that all of us can thrive and, together, realize our visions for the future.

And in case you missed it: we mailed out protest packets to over 1000 people yesterday, and we’ve posted our protest packet tattoos and stickers here—feel free to download, print, and share them this weekend!

REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE with an orange, yellow, and red gradient is in front of an image showing arms/hands modeling CLPP and reproductive justice tattoos.

Visioning for the future is a radical act. What are your hopes for 2017?

As we join together for the health, safety, and rights of our communities, building on each other’s dreams will sustain us.

Tell us your wish for reproductive justice and human rights in 2017! We may not always resist through protest, due to a range of accessibility or other reasons. We want you to share with us the many ways you resist!

Share photos of yourself with your wish for 2017—at the protests or in your living room! Tag it #CLPP2017 or email them to us at clpp@hampshire.edu for us to share. We’re sending our encouragement, power, and fire to each of you this Saturday and beyond.

Help us grow all of our movements!

Save the date for CLPP’s 32nd annual activist conference, From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building the Movement for Reproductive Freedom.

On April 7-9, over 1000 activists, newly-inspired justice seekers, and scholars will gather to learn from each other, build new skills, shake things up, and lay new ground. Come to help each other create the world we need!

Applications are now open for CLPP’s summer academic programs at Hampshire. Help us spread the word to high school students and undergraduates in your communities—encourage them to apply today!

None of this is possible without you.

A big thank you to everyone continuing to sustain our work. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to lead, and your support helps us expand our reach at a time when we need new leadership now more than ever. If you haven't had the chance to donate yet, it's not too late! You can make a gift here.

With love, solidarity, and hope,

All of us at CLPP
