SisterReach, founded October 2011, is a Memphis, TN based grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting the reproductive autonomy of women and teens of color, poor and rural women, LGBT+ and gender non-conforming people, and their families through the framework of Reproductive Justice. Our mission is to empower our base to lead healthy lives, raise healthy families and live in healthy and sustainable communities. We work from a 4-pronged strategy of education, policy & advocacy, culture shift and harm reduction. We provide comprehensive reproductive and sexual health, community-centered education to marginalized folx, and advocate on the local, regional, state and national levels for public policies which support the reproductive health and rights of all women, youth and their families.

Internship description: 

Intern will work closely with CEO & Founder on her upcoming memoir. This position can be remote. Intern will also monitor CEO bookings and website. Intern will support CEO with trainings, webinars and speaking engagements.

Internship skills needed: 

  • Transcription from digital audio files
  • Efficient in google chrome and google drive
  • Efficient in Microsoft office

Office information:

Currently remote. The building location is ADA approved and accessible by public transportation. Interns typically have access to their own work space and the organization can provide office software and internet support if necessary.

COVID-19 changes:

SisterReach staff works remotely and have been equipped with technology and managerial support on work products.
