Our mission is to eradicate the impact of HIV and reproductive oppression on all women, their families, and communities.

Our Policy and Advocacy Program engages in community engagement and policy advocacy related to: (1) Prevention and Care (2) Intersections between HIV and reproductive health, rights, and justice (3) Social Determinants of Health, and (4) Discrimination and Violence.


  • Reproductive Rights/Justice

Internship description: 

We would engage a RRASC intern to support our Hell Yeah, Healthy Love Youth Advocates (HLYA) - a new initiative spearheading a campaign to advocate for Comprehensive Sex Education in our county and state. The intern would gain experience with youth education and engagement (crafting curriculum, communications, facilitation) and interfacing with local elected officials regarding our campaign vision and demands. The intern would work collaboratively with our program manager and legal fellow.

Internship skills needed: 

  • Experience with other CBOs or non-profits,
  • Excellent cultural competency and analysis with respect to race, gender, and sexuality power dynamics,
  • Basic understanding of HIV science and comprehensive sex education policy issues,
  • Either readiness or existing familiarity with non-stigmatizing language and behavior related to HIV and people living with HIV.

Our offices are located in the southwest region of the city. A local public transportation station (train and bus) is located a mile from our office (20 minute walk or under 10 minute bus ride).
