All-Options is the first of it’s kind pregnancy resource center dedicated to providing open-hearted and unconditional support to people in all of their experiences with unplanned pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility, abortion, adoption, or parenting. At All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center, we know that every individual’s and family’s reality is different, and we trust and support people through every pregnancy and parenting turning point. We offer free pregnancy tests, peer counseling, abortion funding, material support like diapers and baby clothes, support groups, and referrals to all kinds of services. All-Options is a secular, client-centered organization where everyone is welcome.

All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center is a program of Backline, a national nonprofit organization that has been creating space for people to find unconditional and judgment-free support since 2004.

Internship description: 

Interns will work closely with the Center Director to create a project that fits within their academic/professional/personal interests and meets the needs of the organization. In addition to the project, regular general tasks will be assigned. Opportunities for providing in-person/telephone peer counseling, assisting in facilitating support groups, participating in our AB fund, public trainings, and outreach are available.

Internship skills needed: 

  • A dedication to upholding Backline’s mission and values
  • Professional and friendly communication skills in person, on the phone, and through emails
  • Organized, with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with accountability
  • Demonstrated computer skills using MS Office
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays and/or evenings
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize and adapt to meet the unique needs of volunteers, staff and the organization
  • A high level of emotional intelligence, compassion, capacity for self-reflection and self-improvement
  • Ability to hold confidential information and demonstrate good judgment
  • Desire to be part of the first All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center and learn about the day-to-day operations of small grassroots non-profit organization
  • Having a Driver's License is preferred but not required.

How to find us: 

Bloomington, IN is located in South Central Indiana, one hour south of Indianapolis. The All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center is located on a bus line and is a 15 minute walk from the Bloomington Transit Center. Parking is also available.

Work hours: 

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10a-5pm, Wednesdays 12-8pm. One Saturday a month.
