#CLPP2016 Call for Proposals Now Open!

#CLPP2016 CFP is open!

We have some exciting news to share - we're accepting proposals for our annual conference, From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building the Movement for Reproductive Freedom! The 2016 conference will mark our 35th year of movement building, sharing knowledge, and strategizing for justice, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

Since 1981, CLPP has been working to realize a world in which all people have the economic, social, and political power necessary to make healthy decisions about our bodies, families, sexuality, and reproduction. Our annual conference brings together students, activists, and academics from across the U.S. and the world to share ideas that inspire reflection, growth, and collaboration across all our communities and generations. We know that you are engaged in amazing organizing, movement building, scholarship, and activism around reproductive justice, and we want to hear about it!

I hope you'll check out our Call for Proposals and think about sharing your work with us April 8th - 10th at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. Is there a conversation about reproductive justice that you want to lead? A presentation on your exciting new research you can’t wait to share? Do you want to train folks in media-making for social change, or share strategies for grassroots organizing? Let us know about your current activism, your expertise and experiences, and what you can contribute to the conference! This year, we are especially interested in strengthening our programming around arts and cultural work as well as offering activist and identity-based caucuses for participants.

The deadline for proposals is Friday, September 25th.

We can't wait to envision a more just world with you. Please tell your friends and fellow activists about the call, and save the date for next year's conference:
