Bio: 

Michaela Minnis (she/her) is a rising senior studying Public Policy with a minor in Gender Health at the University of Michigan, where she's involved in a variety of campus organizations and has taken on leadership roles in Delta Gamma Phi, Students of Color in Public Policy, and the Global Scholars Program. She plans to become a policy advocate for reproductive health and justice and Black maternal health using research, storytelling, and community engagement to create people-centered solutions grounded in reproductive, racial, and economic justice. She has worked with nonprofits and recently the U.S. State Dept. on issues related to gender-based violence and COVID-19's impacts on such issues. Michaela loves to read and learn from Black feminist scholars, Facetime with friends, is a Chloe x Halle and rest enthusiast, and plans to pursue an MPH later in life!
