Bio: 

Andy Escobar is a fourth year Radio-Television-Film, Latin American Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies student at The University of Texas at Austin. He is passionate about film/television, representation of marginalized people, and intersectional anti-oppression. He has previously interned at the U.S. House of Representatives through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) and organized around Fisher v. University of Texas in defense of affirmative action. He aspires to become an activist filmmaker, where he can write and direct films about marginalized people for marginalized people, and hopes to start his own production company to help underrepresented filmmakers tell their stories.
