Alexandria Williams

Tulane University

Baton Rouge, LA

Academic Concentration:

Major in African and African Diaspora Studies, Sociology; Minor in Gender & Sexuality Studies

Alex is a second year student at Tulane University in New Orleans, studying African & African Diaspora Studies and Sociology. She does a lot of advocacy and organizing both on and off campus, working with organizations like The NOLA Birthing Project, the Youth EmPOWERment Project, and serving as the co-convener of color for Students Organizing Against Racism at Tulane. All of her organizing work is done through an anti-racist and reproductive justice lens that puts Black women and families at the center of her work, which works toward liberation for all. When not trying to save the world (and failing at it), Alex spends her time reading novels and melting her brain with reality TV.
