Bio:

Alli is a mixed Peruana and Black, senior BSN student at Lewis-Clark State College in North Idaho. Along with nursing school, she is simultaneously working towards becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant through Portland State University. She is passionate about sexual and reproductive health and access, birthing justice, breastfeeding disparities, and racial inclusivity in the medical profession. Between studying, she works as a certified birth and postpartum doula, nanny, and small time chef at an olive oil boutique! In her spare time, she's cooking, baking, geeking out on woke brown girl and latina rebels Instagram pages, eating tacos or spending time with her brother, hedgehog, family, and friends. Alli is looking forward to working as an intern with Nursing Students for Sexual and Reproductive Health and learning about how to bring forth change within nursing school curriculum. Originally from the Bay Area, California (represent!), she hopes to return home upon graduation in December and work as a nurse/doula/lactation consultant in the underserved communities.
