To engage, connect, and empower people to make the world a better place for children of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender parents and families.
COLAGE is a national movement of children, youth and adults with one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and/or queer parent. We build community and work toward social justice through youth empowerment, leadership development, education, and advocacy.
To fulfill our mission, we offer an array of programs nationally, including a quarterly publication, a pen pal program, youth media trainings and connections advocacy and youth-created educational materials, age-based online communities, scholarships, internships, trainings, a Kids of Trans program, local chapters, and national week-long events.
Internship Description:
This full-time internship will promote development of young leadership, allow participants a hands-on look at the non-profit field, teach interns about LGTB families’ issues, and be a lot of fun! Interns will assist the staff on current or new projects, with both local and national events, and with office management. We are the only national organization serving people with LGTB parents, therefore presenting a unique perspective on LGTB issues.
