Hampshire College is accepting applications for a Development Officer for the Civil Liberties and Public Policies Program (CLPP). Reporting to the CLPP Director, the Development Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating CLPP’s individual donor fundraising efforts, re-engaging supporters and reaching new constituencies. The Development Officer will develop and implement CLPP’s annual fundraising plan for individual giving; launch major donor work; develop a strong fundraising culture with staff; and increase the profile of the organization through strategic use of print, social and other online media.

This is a full time grant funded position with continuation pending future funding.

Bachelor’s Degree required and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in donor fundraising and donor relations, including major gifts fundraising. Qualified candidates should have experience with online fundraising, including e-mail solicitation and social media strategies. Candidates should possess excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills; have advanced computer skills; and be able to produce effective and compelling written materials. The Development Officer will be expected to be self-motivated, resourceful, and creative and to work collaboratively in teams with diverse staff, students, board members and volunteers. A commitment to CLPP’s mission is essential. This position requires occasional evenings and weekends.
