Supporting Parents and Children
As the next generation of activists, children are an important part of our conference. We are working to integrate childcare and conference programming so that children are acknowledged and not treated as invisible while on campus.
Help us in this process by recognizing that kids may need to be around familiar adults outside of childcare, that babies may be present, and that acknowledging and supporting children supports their parents as well. Give children some attention and help to make them feel included in conference activities!
Information for Parents
Free conference childcare includes fun, creative workshops for children of all ages to imagine, explore, and share ideas. We'll explore new ways for activists of all ages to participate in and enhance the dialogue. Workshops may include art projects and interactive trips to the Hampshire farm. Snacks, plenty of playtime, and fun for young friends of all ages will be provided.
Each child who is registered and participating in childcare during the conference weekend must have a waiver completed and signed by their parent/guardian. There is an additional permission form for the walking trip to the Hampshire College Farm Center. You can pick up forms at the registration table and childcare site.
Bathrooms with changing tables will be labeled throughout the campus.
