Housing and Ride Boards
On our housing board, you can offer and find housing in the local area. If you are driving to the CLPP conference and want a travel companion, or if you are in need of transportation, check out the ride board!
Past participants, please note that we are no longer able to offer on-campus housing during the conference weekend.
Local Hotels
Group Rates
Our group rate rooms for 2013 will be at the Econo Lodge on Rt. 9 in Hadley. There are 1 king bed and 2 double bed rooms available, both non-smoking. Both rooms are $75/night on Thursday and $89/night on Friday and Saturday. To reserve a room at the discounted rate, call the reservation department at (413) 582-7077 and identify yourself as an affiliate of Civil Liberties at Hampshire College. The group rate will be available until 3/29/13. Guests are responsible for room, tax, and incidental charges.
Hampshire is a 10 minute drive by car, and public transportation via the PVTA is available from the Hampshire Mall stop (transfer at UMass or Amherst to bus route 38).

The most accessible hotel via public transportation is the Hampton Inn on Bay Road in Hadley. It is along bus route 39 for the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA), which will take you straight to Hampshire College.

By Airplane
Bradley International Airport (BDL) is located in Windsor Locks, CT, which serves the Hartford/Springfield area and is approximately one hour from Hampshire. There are shuttle services to and from all area airports.
By Train
Amtrak has limited service to Amherst and extensive service to Springfield, MA, just 30 minutes from Hampshire. If arriving in Springfield, transportation to campus is available through Peter Pan Bus Lines or by shuttle service.
By Bus
Peter Pan Bus Lines run from New York and Boston to Springfield, where there are connections to Amherst and Northampton. You can also take the Megabus to Amherst through Hartford and New York. Once in the area, take advantage of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority bus system.
Shuttle Services
Seemo Shuttle and Valley Transporter offer shared and private service to and from Hampshire and all area airports, bus, and train stations. Seemo Shuttle boasts hybrid and biodiesel vehicles, while Valley Transporter is the largest airport shuttle service in the Pioneer Valley.
Local Transportation Options
Pioneer Valley Transit Authority
The Hampshire College campus, where the conference is hosted, is on a number of Pioneer Valley Transit Authority bus routes. Check out the bus schedules! The surrounding towns of Amherst, Northampton, and South Hadley are directly on these routes. (Please note that most locations in Hadley, MA require that you transfer buses in order to get to Hampshire College.)
From Northampton and Smith College campus, take bus 39. From downtown Amherst and Mount Holyoke and UMass Amherst campuses, take bus 38.
