CLPP is delighted to Co-sponor the Center for Popular Economics' (CPE) Summer Institute! The CPE's Summer Institute is a week-long intensive training in economics for activists, educators, media makers, and anyone who wants a better understanding of how the economy works. Their trainings are highly participatory and build on the knowledge and experience of their participants. No background in economics is necessary. The Summer Insitute will take place August 4 - 9, 2013 at Hampshire College. Below is some information from the Center for Popular Economics' website, http://www.populareconomics.org/2013si/ :

This year, the Summer Institute will look at the care economy.

Getting to the conference can be expensive! We are committed to bringing together student and community activists who are most affected by reproductive injustices, and who are on the frontlines of creating reproductive justice. Visit the Funding Travel page for fundraising resources and to apply for a travel stipend. Applications are due March 1st, but we'll begin reviewing applications on February 15th and awarding stipends on a rolling basis, so consider applying early!
