Our friends at Advocates for Youth are once again searching for the most bold and visionary college students from around the United States to receive 500 condoms to distribute on their college campuses. What kind of ingenious plans will you come up with to distribute condoms? Condom lollipops? Condom scavenger hunt? Condom raffle tickets? Condom demonstration flash mob?

Community Workshop on Disability Justice with Leah Lakshmi

2012 Lambda Literary Award Winner and 2011 Pushcart Prize nominee Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha is a queer disabled Sri Lankan writer, teacher and cultural worker. She is the author of "Consensual Genocide" and "Love Cake" and co-editor of "The Revolution Starts At Home: Confronting Intimate Violence in Activist Communities." This event is open to the public and food will be provided.

Freedom of speech lies at the heart of several cutting-edge controversies in law and reproductive rights today: from "informed consent" laws that require doctors to deliver state-scripted speech about abortions and a woman's decision to obtain one, to recent attempts by cities to force crisis pregnancy centers to post signs acknowledging that they do not provide for or refer for abortion services. Kara will provide an overview of challenges to these regulations, and the outcomes so far, and also discuss the models for decision-making underlying these new laws.

Social Justice Intern Symposium

Every year, we celebrate the work of our amazing summer interns after they return to campus. Please join us this year for panels and workshops where students will present about their experiences. Interns from these Hampshire College programs will present: Career Options Resource Center, Civil Liberties and Public Policy, Community Partnerships for Social Change, Global Migrations, James Baldwin Scholars, and the Law Program.
