We are committed to bringing together student and community activists who are most affected by reproductive injustices, and who are on the frontlines of creating reproductive justice. Visit the Funding Travel page for fundraising resources and to apply for a travel stipend. Applications are due March 1st, but we'll begin reviewing applications on February 15th and awarding stipends on a rolling basis, so consider applying early!

Conference Proposals Due 9/21/12

Tue, 2012/09/11 - 2:17pm -- CLPP
Over recent months and for as many years as we can count, we have been inspired by our courageous colleagues, allies, and friends who are creating a world centered on justice. At the same time, we are outraged by the blatant and insidious attacks on reproductive freedom, racial and gender equality, and queer liberation, and the exponential growth of economic inequality. We want to bring activists and emerging leaders together for cross-movement dialogue and action planning at our 27th annual activist conference, From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building the Movement for Reproductive Freedom.

As part of our conference last month, the Youth Action Coalition (YAC) led a zine-making workshop called "Unpacking Oppression: Youth Liberation Through Media." The goal of this hands-on workshop was to tackle issues faced by youth through art. Youth leaders from YAC facilitated by sharing their skills and beliefs as well as documenting the workshop, and participants created an original zine.

Reproductive Justice Conference Organizers Exchange: Massachusetts to Minnesota

Fri, 2012/05/11 - 3:29pm -- Lani@CLPP
On April 28, 2012, activists and advocates from Minnesota, the Midwest, and (a few of us) from across the U.S. met up at Carleton College for their Reproductive Justice Collective's first conference, "Sex, Lies, and Things our Mothers Never Told Us: How Reproductive Justice Fits into Every Aspect of Our Society." We spent the day together, in a building that formerly housed Northfield's middle school, and talked human rights, sexualities and native communities, supreme court cases, and art as activism.
