Join us for our 2010 annual activist conference, From Abortion Rights to Social Justice.
Civil Liberties and Public Policy (CLPP) fosters progressive activism in the areas of reproductive health and sexual rights.
CLPP was launched in 1981. Ronald Reagan had just been elected, anti-abortion influence was intensifying, and pro-choice activists were struggling with the right-wing backlash against Roe v. Wade. In those years of political retrenchment, CLPP dedicated itself to working with students and other young constituencies and bringing their energy and ideas into the reproductive rights movement. For 28 years, CLPP has been engaging young people in reproductive rights activism. Today, we are a growing national organization, and our annual conference, student internship program, and leadership building projects attract increasing numbers of participants. CLPP continues to mobilize a broad diversity of young people, attract new allies, and support leadership building. On this 28th anniversary of our founding, we celebrate our work and re-affirm our commitment to advancing reproductive rights, freedom, and justice for all people!
