From Abortion Rights to Social Justice:
Building the Movement for Reproductive Freedom
27th annual conference for student and community activists
April 12-14, 2013
Hampshire College, Amherst, Massachusetts
Proposals due: September 21, 2012
- Presentations are typically 10-15 minutes in length, and we combine three or four presentations on related topics to build intersectional panels with adequate time for discussion.
- Interactive workshops are generally 90 minutes long and include two or three facilitators who bring diverse perspectives and who provide activities for the session audience to dive deeply into the theme.
- Strategic Action Sessions are generally 90 minutes long and provide time and structure for participants to meet, network, share experiences and explore opportunities for collaborative strategies or future support.
All proposals should be engaging and dynamic for a diverse audience of emerging leaders and long-time activists. Proposals should acknowledge the intersection of movements and oppressions with reproductive justice. We generally do not support PowerPoint presentations.
